June was another exciting month for OOB - we were finalists in the 2014 Air New Zealand Export Awards in the Emerging Exporter category.
Up against some tough competition we enjoyed the black tie event hosted at the Langham. Although we didn't take an award home this time, since the awards we're excited to be doubling our export into Australia with a new Coles deal.
Heading back into the busy season we're gearing up for more export into Australia and Singapore and of course the start of a new fresh blueberry season!
We are incredibly excited to announce that at the recent gala dinner held for the Westpac Auckland North Business Awards, OOB won both Excellence in Strategy and Planning as well as Excellence in Export. Our winners plaques are sitting proudly on the wall at OOB headquarters but there's no time to rest.. with summer around the corner its ramping up to the busy fresh fruit season!
We've been working hard here at oob to bring berries to the people of NZ as well as overseas. And that hard work has paid off as oob has just won the 2013 Fastest Growing Exporter - Auckland and Upper North Island award in the Deloittes Fast 50 programme. The next step for oob is to attend the Fast 50 Festival of Growth Day and Wrap Party where the National Category winner will be revealed... We'll keep you posted!
August has proven to be a busy month here at oob! Not only are we finalists in the Westpac Auckland North Business awards, we have just found out we are about to go head to head with four other companies (out of 65 entries) pitching for a $1 million business funding prize pool.
We’ve made it to the final stage in the University of Auckland Business School Entrepreneurs Challenge and we are up against the best.
Punching above our weight yet again, we are set to put our business plans to the acid test in front of a panel of shrewd business investors - the dragons den university style - if you like.
We’ll keep you posted on how it all goes, in the interim oob would like to thank you for your support!
